Accessories Experience

The addition of an "Accessories Buying Experience" is an effort to continue improving our aftermarket customers' user experience. Browsing and buying aftermarket accessories is much different than that of maintenance parts. There's much more emotion, personality, and other subjective factors at play within the journey. With that in mind, we crafted a browsing, learning, and buying experience that blends the showroom, magazine, and retail site experience.

‍

Big Picture
  • Implemented the option to toggle between new Accessories Experience and updated tile based search & filter option.
  • A more prominent user profile to assist in finding recommended products, leaving product and merchant reviews, and viewing order history.
  • Pared down product details (outside the product details page) to visually amplify product photography and "browsability".

The Elements
  • Curated content for user types commonly associated with the brand image. Think Outdoorsy Subaru vs. Lavish Bentley.
  • Grouped product sets commonly associated with different lifestyles, hobbies, and interests.
  • Interactive 360º viewer with hotspots highlighting common or popular accessories.

As one of the most important component of a part sales site, the price box must have optimal UX for sales conversion. This design considers dealer proximity, price, and fulfillment to give users the best price-shopping experience while keeping local dealers front of mind.

Reference Template
A large-scale, largely unseen design-forward project. These designs rely on developer collaboration to “templatize” the SimplePart platform. By indexing each component with style variables in mind, new client sites can stand up much quicker and with less bug-hunting.
